BMW paint codes are normally placed under the bonnet (with the exception of the 1 series, which is on the passenger side door jamb), and is either on one of the strut towers or wing edges. The paint colour code can also be located on the right side and slightly lower then the wing on the engine wall. The name of the car colour is also on the same tag. If you can't find your colour code on the car your local BMW dealership (parts department) will be able to tell you your code from your registration or chasis number.
